Embark on an Avian Adventure: Bird Watching Extravaganza at Curi-Cancha Reserve!

The Curi-Cancha Reserve extends across 237 acres and protects primary and secondary rainforests. The trails are well maintained, but might be a bit muddy. This is the perfect place to spot birds like the Keel-Billed Toucan, blue-throated goldentail, the Orange-Bellied Trogon and many more. With so many birds in Costa Rica, we are just skimming the surface here. There are 918 known species and 82 families of birds here in this amazingly diverse country. Within each species there is often variation between plumage in females and males, breeding and nonbreeding males, and adults and juveniles. From the moment you begin your tour on the Curi Cancha Nature Reserve, your naturalist guide will help you try to spot some of the 200 species of birds that have been observed here. You are sure to enjoy this experience, and you will leave wanting to learn and explore more about birds.

We pick up from hotels, condos and private residences in Monteverde & Santa Elena

Transportation not included from: Lindora, outside of Panaderia Canitas, Intersection of San Luis

Pick ups begin approximately 40 minutes prior to the tour time depending on your zone. We will send you an official pick up time the day before the tour. Please be ready outside 10 minutes before your scheduled pick up time, but it can take up to 10 minutes longer depending on the day’s pick up schedule and traffic.
