Unleash Your Adventurous Spirit: Conquer Untamed Terrain on a Tropical Forest ATV Expedition and visit to the Maleku Village!
The tour begins on a secret path in the tropical forest, passing by the Arenal River. You will find unique landscapes and impressive views of the Arenal Volcano. The guides who accompany the group, will explain the history, nature and culture of the area.
On the way, you can bathe in the Arenal River, enjoy the incredible views of the Fortuna Valley and the viewpoint in the town of Alto de Monterrey. There’s a lot opportunities to learn and observe the wildlife of the northern zone of Costa Rica.
The tour will continue to the amazing and secret place of the Maleku Indians. The Maleku’s are a group of indigenous people of the Northern Region of Costa Rica. Here you will be able to enjoy a passionate cultural interpretation performed by the Maleku people. This is A great opportunity to know their culture and the essence of our ancestors.

You will need to meet here at the Outback ATV La Fortuna – your meeting time will be sent the day prior to your tour.

Please provide the exact name of your hotel, house or condo upon booking, as well as a google maps link. If your hotel, house, or condo is not included, we will provide you with the closest meeting location or pick up fee.
Pick ups begin approximately 45 minutes before the start of your tour. We will send you an official pick up time the day before the tour. Please be ready outside 10 minutes before your scheduled pick up time, but it can take up to 10 minutes longer depending on the day’s pick up schedule and traffic
Special Notes
- The driver must carry (without exception) his valid driver’s license to be able to
take the tour. - The minimum to operate the shared tour is 2 people, if we don’t meet the minimum we will send options 1 or 2 days before
- Age limit – Drivers License Required to drive – 5 years minimum age recommended for passengers
- Activity is restricted to people with severe heart conditions, operations, recent injury (less than 6 months), whose weight is greater than 140 kg, and/or women pregnant.
- The activity is prohibited to people who are under the influence of alcohol or any narcotic.
- Due to the nature of the activity and for the safety of our clients requires following the instructions of the guide in charge. Disobeying the instructions will give
result in the cancellation of the participant without the possibility of reimbursement. - In case of adverse weather conditions (heavy rains, lightning, alerts amber/red weather conditions) we proceed with the cancellation of the activity. In case of that the activity has elapsed a journey of more than 1 hour, we proceed with the 50% refund. If the activity has not elapsed, the activity is rescheduled or proceed with full refund.
