Explore the natural landscapes of Costa Rica with a combination of ATV riding and horseback riding, offering two different ways to experience the region’s scenic trails and dry tropical forest.
The experience begins with an ATV tour along natural trails and varied terrain, providing an opportunity to explore the surrounding countryside while enjoying the adventure of off-road driving. Accompanied by experienced guides, participants will navigate designated routes through the area’s natural surroundings.
The second part of the tour takes place on horseback, following scenic trails through the dry tropical forest and surrounding landscapes. This guided ride offers a more relaxed way to explore the area while observing the local vegetation and wildlife.
Combining off-road exploration with a traditional horseback riding experience, this tour offers a balanced outdoor adventure suitable for visitors looking to discover Costa Rica’s natural surroundings through two distinct activities.
Transportation Info
Self Drive:

Transportation is available from the following locations for an additional fee of $10 per person (2 People Min)
- Riu Guanacaste/Riu Palace
- Playas del Coco
- Playa Hermosa & Panama
- Flamingo
- Conchal
Pick-up from Culebra is available for $60 for up to 6 people. Each additional person is $10.
Pick ups begin 30 minutes to 1 hour before the tour start time depending on your location. Your confirmed pick-up time will be sent the day before the tour. Please be ready outside 10 minutes before your scheduled pick-up time.
Special Notes
- Horseback riding Weight Limit – For safety reasons, the maximum weight allowed to participate in the ride is 120 kilos. If a person weighs more than this, unfortunately we will not be able to operate the activity. Minimum 5 years old recommended to ride as a passenger.
- Pricing applies to adults and children
- Age limit ATV – Minimum 5 years old recommended to ride as a passenger. 16 years old or Drivers License Required to drive.
- If you want to bring your cell phone or keys on tour, please understand we are not responsible for loss or damage.
